Miami to host Historic Event 

In 2009, the road to Team Handball History leads to beautiful Miami Florida and the Coupe de la Ligue. The Miami Sharks are proud to announce and support the French Handball Championships which will be played in Miami on April 10-11, 2009. The event is a partnership between the LNH "Ligue Nationale de Handball" and the Sharks ownership group, New World Sports Enterprises. 

This exciting Final Four Championship Cup event will take place at the American Airlines Arena in the heart of downtown Miami. Come see some of the world’s best players and Olympic and World Championship gold medalist from Paris, Chambrey, Istres and Montpellier compete for their place in history.
Additionally there will also be an All-Star Exhibition game which will feature legendary Team Handball great Jackson Richardson who will be joined by international players from China, Tunis, Algeria, Egypt, Chile, Argentina and others.

In additon to the sporting aspect of the weeend, New World Sports Enterprises will be hosting the 2009 Festival of the World, which will be hosted on the Arena grounds and will run concurrently to the Tournament.  The Festival is free to the public and will feature five seperate villages: French Village, Wine Village, Carribean Village, Latin Village and Art Village.  For mor information on the festival, click here.
